Putrajaya is a historical area that has gone through much planning and development to be the modern city you see or know of. With elegantly designed streets with a European vibe, along with well-paved roads while the government buildings are a blend of modern architecture with Islamic arts, Putrajaya has now become a centre of attraction for both local and international tourists alike. This Putrajaya Tour includes:

Putra Mosque
Incorporating Malaysian, Persian and Arab-Islamic architectural designs, the main entrance to the mosque is fashioned in the likeness of public building gates in Muslim Persia. Its rose-tinted granite gives its iconic pink hue, an elegance that reflects as remarkably on the inside as it does on the outside. You can go into the Putra Mosque to see the majestic, rosy-pink interiors. Bear in mind, of course, that you should dress modestly and wear the robes provided at the entrance.

Dataran Putra
The Putra Square is a city square in Presint 1, Putrajaya, Malaysia. The square has been used for festivals such as the Malaysian Independence Day parade. It is bounded by Perdana Putra, Putra Mosque, Putra Bridge and the Promenade Shopping Mall. An interplay of paths, water, channels, flower beds and trees makes this square a delightful stop for visitors.

Putrajaya International Convention Centre (Photo Stop)
Rising majestically from the top of Putrajaya’s highest point, PICC is both an iconic landmark overlooking Malaysia’s government headquarters and one that incorporates a modern, spacious and versatile design, architecturally and culturally meaningful.

Perdana Putra (Photo Stop)
See the Prime Minister’s Office at Perdana Putra. This imposing building stands atop the main hill in Putrajaya, catching eyes with its palatial-style green dome and stone walls. Featuring a blend of Islamic and modern architecture, the office complex is where ministers and higher officials work. Even though it is not open to visitors, you can still admire its grandeur from the outside and have pictures taken.

Sultan Selangor Palace (Drive Past)
The Sultan Selangor Palace, otherwise known as ‘Istana Darul Ehsan’ was constructed on the 20th Nov 2000. This mansion beside Putrajaya Lake symbolizes the appreciation from Malaysia’s Federal Government to Selangor State for ceding Putrajaya to the Federal government. It is constructed in Tudor style with a high deep grey facade to be the Royal Retreat for the Sultan of Selangor.

Putrajaya Lake
With many of Putrajaya’s futuristic landmarks perched beautifully by the lake, a cruise lets you discover its sights as you literally go with the flow. There are two kinds of cruise boats available. For “Putrajaya-style” Parisian romance, you can hop on an air-conditioned catamaran, ideal for modern sightseeing or dining excursions. Or you could have a traditional experience on an intimately-sized wooden perahu.

Bridges Of Putrajaya (Photo Stop)
Keep your eyes open for the different concepts of bridges in Putrajaya. Get your cameras ready for the spectacular architecture of bridges like the Seri Perdana Bridge, Putra Bridge, Wawasan Bridge, Seri Saujana Bridge, Seri Gemilang Bridge, Seri Bakti Bridge, Seri Bestari Bridge, and Pedestrian Bridge. Keep in mind while you may not be able to take photos at all of them, it’s good to know they’re around.

Government Office Buildings (Photo Stop)
As the administrative capital of Malaysia, Putrajaya is home to all the government departments. There’s the Attorney General’s Chambers of Malaysia, National Registration Department, Department of Civil Aviation Building, MInistry of Transport Building, Ministry of Rural & Regional Development, and more.
